Open WebUI is the front-end most people mean when they say they want “our own ChatGPT”. It gives you accounts and groups, conversation history, document upload with built-in RAG, model presets, prompt libraries and per-user permissions — over any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. That means you can put OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter and a local Ollama model side by side in one interface and let each team pick.
Hosted here it lives on your own domain with TLS, its own Postgres and nightly backups. Prompts and uploaded documents stay in your instance; the only thing that leaves is the model call you configured, billed to your own provider account. If you later add an Ollama plan, the two talk to each other privately over the internal network.
