Botpress hosting at AIHostBox means a dedicated, single-tenant Botpress instance on our infrastructure: we install it, pin it to a reviewed release, put it behind TLS on your domain, back it up nightly and patch everything around it. Plans start at $11.99 per month and the admin account, the data and any API keys are yours.
Botpress v12 is the last self-hostable Botpress. Its final release was v12.31.10 in April 2025, and current Botpress is cloud-only.
We still host it for teams who depend on it: we keep the instance running, backed up and behind TLS, and patch the operating system and the services around it. We cannot fix bugs or vulnerabilities inside Botpress itself, and there will be no feature updates. Order it only if you accept that; if you are starting fresh, the alternatives below are the safer choice.
Botpress is a chatbot platform from the Quebec company of the same name. The edition you can run on your own server is Botpress v12: a Node.js server with a visual flow editor, built-in natural language understanding for intents and entities, a Q&A module, a content library and an admin area for multiple bots and workspaces. Bots reach users through the embeddable webchat and connectors for Messenger, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Telegram, Twilio, Vonage and Sunshine Conversations.
It is worth being clear about the split. Botpress’s current product, with its LLM-driven agents, is a hosted cloud service; its SDK and integrations are MIT-licensed, but the platform itself is not self-hostable. The v12 server is dual-licensed under AGPL-3.0 or a Botpress commercial licence, and its latest release, 12.31.10, dates from April 2025. It needs a server because bots must answer at any hour, and production deployments use Postgres rather than the default SQLite.
Botpress hosting plans
Every plan is a dedicated single-tenant instance with NVMe storage, nightly off-box backups, TLS and managed patching. Quarterly, semi-annual and annual terms are discounted at checkout. Model tokens are not included — you bring your own key.

The botpress/server v12 image in production mode with PostgreSQL through DATABASE_URL, the Botpress language server and Duckling containers for NLU, and the admin panel and webchat on port 3000 behind TLS.

- Channel credentials for Telegram, Slack, Teams or Messenger entered with you and webhook URLs checked
Which plan fits
Plus (4 GB, 2 vCPU) runs the server, Postgres and the NLU services for a handful of bots at moderate conversation volume. Pro (8 GB, 3 vCPU) suits more bots, busier channels or several NLU languages loaded at once. Each extra language adds memory in the language server, so a multilingual bot should start on Pro.
The honest limits
v12 receives no new features and its latest release dates from April 2025, so it is a stable but frozen platform; Botpress’s generative-AI agents are cloud-only and are not part of what we host.
